Rocchi Paolo

Professor, Luiss University

 

In 1969 he graduated in physics from La Sapienza University of Rome, which he served as an assistant in 1970. Next year he entered IBM and thenceforth worked with this company. He authored over one hundred works, including 11 volumes.

 

Scientific interests:

  • Stochastic entropy, physical models of system aging and of system repairability

  • Subjective and frequentist interpretations of probability

  • Basic properties of classical and quantum information

  • Unifying calculus of redundancy

  • Methodologies for software programming and engineering

  • Didactics of informatics

Teaching experience:

Courses on the Foundations of Computer Science and Programming, on Structural Analysis and Design, on Objects-Oriented Analysis.

 

Personal data :

Born in 1946. Married, with a daughter and a son. Spoken languages: Italian, English, French Hobbies: tennis, skiing and skating
